Hey, guys! I know it’s already January 5th (whaaat?!), but I decided to share my top three new year’s resolutions with you all today in honor of the new year.
#1: I want to blog more. Starting this year, I want to make it a goal of mine to post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and maybe on the weekends.
#2: I want to read at least 50 books this year. (That’s about a book a week, which means a review a week!) 😉
#3: I want to finish a novel. Yep, I know, this is a big one.
Those are my top resolutions! What are yours?
2014 was a big year for me. I began home-schooling, became a teenager (it’s tough! Lol!), went on a cruise (my first, and hopefully the first in a long line of cruises!), and I started this blog! Here’s to an amazing, and even better 2015.
Hi guys! Welcome to a new segment I’m starting called Friday Ramblings. On Fridays, I’ll talk about anything – anything and everything that’s on my mind. I’d love to hear your thoughts on Friday Ramblings, as well! Be sure to drop me a comment. xx
I’m always talking. Always. Sometimes I talk out loud, and sometimes I talk to myself, and sometimes I talk to my imaginary friends who tell me all about their world and life and I write their stories down. I always have something to say, in my head, at least.
But every time I sit down, be it at the computer or journal or whatnot, it seems I have nothing to say. My mind goes completely blank. The cursor or blank page stares at me, and I can’t thing of a darned thing. Why is that? I have plenty to say. I know for a fact that my mind never stops working; the wheels never stop turning in my little brain.
Does this ever happen to you? I tried doing some research on why our little minds go blank, but everything came to social anxiety or standing in front of crowds. Which, let me assure you, I have neither. So why, oh why, can I NEVER thing of a single meaningful word to say when I want and/or need to?
Maybe it’s because I’m intimidated by what everyone else has to say. I’m surrounded by brilliant people. My parents and sister, friends, blogs I follow. Everyone has something important to say.
Maybe it’s because what I do have to say doesn’t seem important to me. What is deemed as important, anyway?
I think everyone has something important to say, whether they say it or not. But no one will know what it is you have to say until you say it.
Can we just take a moment for me to say that I am obsessed with Christian/historical/romance fiction?! I know most of them are incredibly cliche and some of them a little silly, but they’re like CHOCOLATE. Chocolate, guys, chocolate. Do you know how big my love is for chocolate? My love for these books is almost as big as my love for chocolate. That’s a lot of love, ya’ll.
I bought this book for only $2 on my Kindle, and it was so good I would have paid way more to read this had I known how much I was going to love it. (Psst. Stop here real quick and read what this book’s all about right here.) A Bride’s Dilemma in Friendship Tennessee was sweet, and a little sassy. I loved (capital L-O-V-E-D, loved), the main character, Heaven. And get this: the sisters in this book are named Heaven and Angel! How cute is that?
So as I said in the beginning, this book is a Christian/historical/romance fiction book (I know, that’s a lot of genres!), and I really appreciated the balance of romance and family in this story. All throughout the book, Heaven’s #1 priority was her little sister, Angel. Because Heaven was all alone with her now blind sister, having lost her mother, Heaven is determined to raise Angel sweet and proper – keeping her safe at the same time. That really touched a soft part in my heart, because I’m an older sister myself, and I could really understand Heaven’s protectiveness of Angel.
If I were to describe Heaven in one word, I’d say determined. She’s determined to stay in her father’s cabin, even if her father’s dying wish was to leave the cabin to a young man he met on a boat. She’s determined to protect herself and Angel, even though in doing so she nearly kills someone. (Don’t worry, this was really more hilarious than it was violent or anything else!) She’s determined to not let her feelings interfere with the decisions she needs to make for her and Heaven.
Something that was really interesting was the switching perspectives in the book. It was really neat, because I got to slip inside nearly every character’s head at least once in the book. I knew what both characters were thinking, even though they didn’t know what the other was thinking. So I was always like “NOOO, that’s not what he meant when he said that!” the entire book.
*Spoiler alert! Don’t read if you want to read the book!* One bone I have to pick at this book is that while Heaven’s fiance (who she thought was dead), was on his way to her (she didn’t know it), he didn’t arrive until near the end. I was disappointed, because Heaven didn’t have to choose between the two men in her lives (hence, A Bride’s Dilemma), until the end. And even then, there wasn’t much competition. (No, I’m not telling you who she picks! Ha ha ha!) So I think the title of the book is a little discombobulating. *Spoiler over!*
So other than that one thing (the spoiler 😉 ), I LOVED this book. I think I’ll give it…
4.5 stars! Have you ever read this book? Do you read Christian/historical/romance fiction?
I’m SO sorry I haven’t posted in so long. I think that’s been the longest I went without posting. (Or maybe not… I’m really sorry!)
Since it’s been so long, I decided to make this post a stacking the shelves/catch-up/2015 goals/other stuff and who-knows-what post. I’ve gotten a few books recently; mostly historical fiction (I’ve been binge-reading a lot of those lately, haha!) The one I was most excited for was The Princess Spy by Melanie Dickerson…
Isn’t it beautiful?! I think I might cry… I started reading Melanie’s fairy tale retellings about a year and a half ago. My mom ordered the first three (there were only three out then), when we went vacationing in Florida, and I read all three by the beach! I’ve been wanting The Princess Spy since it came out and a few months ago and freaked out because there was only one copy at the Christian Family Book Store! 🙂 Of course, I bought it.
I now have the whole series!
I also bought two books on my Kindle thanks to my favorite blog, Books for Christian Girls. Visit Lindsey over there, and get lots of great recommendations weekly. Her reviews include how much spiritual or sexual content was in the book, and rates it by age. (For example, for one book she might rate it two stars for preteens and three for older teens, etc.)
I got A Bride’s Dilemma in Friendship, Tennessee for $2 on my Kindle!
And A Bride Opens Shop in El Dorado, California for the same price!
My grandma also bought me Keep Smiling Through by Ann Rinaldi for Christmas, which I’m very excited to read!!!
I also got this “Keep Calm and Write On” picture frame my aunt got for me!
Don’t you just love it?! It’s on my desk now in front of me. =)
As for my biggest gifts, I got a COMPUTER!!! Well, a laptop. I got a Chromebook, and it’s amazing!!!
I also got an Instax Mini 8 from my grandparents! (A Polaroid-style camera.) And it’s PINK! Isn’t it gorgeous?
So what did you guys get for Christmas? I’d love to hear from you!
Cait just switched blog names from Notebook Sisters to Paper Fury! In celebration of the new name, she’s hosting a tag for all! Hip, hip, hooray!
#1: Why did you start blogging? GOOD QUESTION. Well, I’d had a blog since I was eight, where I blogged about what I ate for lunch… my cat… school… I mostly used my blog for my friends and family, and I think some of my mom’s friends read my posts. Anyway, I followed a bajillion blogs. (I still do.) One day, I stumbled upon a BOOK BLOG! I was ecstatic. Soon, I found this whole community of book bloggers that I followed, and a year or two later, I asked my dad (he’s a web designer! what a plus, right?!), to help me design a book blog. And… voila!
#2: What’s the story behind your blog’s name? Originally, I was brainstorming names for a book store. (I want to own a book store one day and was bored, so… yeah.) Among the others, ‘For the Bookish’ stood out the most. When I was setting up my blog, I thought For the Bookish would be the perfect name for a book blog for bookish people just like me! =)
#3: How many designs have you been through since you started blogging? (Pictures! We demand pictures!) I’ve only been blogging since April, but two, really. The first one looked like this:
Remember that theme? It was so long ago… 😛
And the second one looks like this!
There was another theme I made that lasted for about a day… it was similar to the current theme I have now, but very simplistic. The header had a drawing of a cat and a stack of books, which I loved, but I really liked the first original theme better. I definitely like the current theme I have now, though!
#4: Have you ever switched blog platforms? What made you move? If you haven’t ever changed…why? Nope! I’ve always had WordPress, and I’ll always will. That first blog I told you about? I used WordPress! I began that blog when I was eight, so that’s… five years of WP! I’m very familiar with it and love it!
#5: How long does it take you to write a post? What’s your postly process like? Usually about 30 minutes. Reviews take me ten or fifteen, mostly because as I read a book, I write down quotes and things I like or dislike, so when I write a review, all I have to do is convert the list into paragraphs, and gather images and GIFs and such. When I’m writing other posts, I type it up, delete some things, add some things, edit, and add images, and then I publish or safe the draft to post some other time. (Like I’m doing with this one!)
#6: Have you ever been super nervous about a post? Why?! What was it? No… never have. Not really. I’ve considered posting some of my writings and short stories, but that does get me antsy… I’ve kind of avoided doing that, but when I finally get up the courage to share something with you all, I probably will be a bit nervous.
#7: Do you have a blogging schedule? When I’m on a blogging roll (I’ve been known to not post for a week or more… oops), I post every other day, and type up posts on the in between days. Or when I’m feeling inspired, I write up a bunch of posts in one day and then post them sporadically when I don’t feel like blogging.
#8: Do you tell people In-Real-Life about your blog? Their reactions? Uhh… well, not really. I mean, I do, and I certainly don’t mind people “In-Real-Life” looking at my blog… I don’t know. I’m not exactly the most talkative (ahem. I mean, to people I don’t know well), person, nor do I brag or talk about myself a lot, so it doesn’t really come up. (Though my family does tell their friends about my blog, which is cool.) I
#10: If you could change/improve things about your blog, what would they be? Hmm… I’m going to turn this question into “If you could change/improve yourself as a blogger” if that’s okay! And I would probably comment on other blogs more. Blog more frequently. Join in more tags and linkies. Read more! Tons of things. I’m not the perfect blogger, but I enjoy blogging and love connecting with other bloggers! =)
That’s it for the tag! Be sure to go and visit Cait at her new location, Paper Fury.
Remember a few weeks ago, when I talked about the books I was taking along with me for vacation? I was SO crazy excited to read Heather Vogel Frederick’s Absolutely Truly?
Well, ohhhh my word you guys, it was the best book EVER! (Let us pretend for a moment that I do not say that about practically every book by Heather Vogel Frederick.) Buuuut I did cringe a bit… But let’s talk about the awesome stuff first, okay??!
#1: Pumpkin Falls. That’s the name of the town. Pumpkin Falls! Don’t you just LOVE it?! I typically fall absolutely head over heels for books set in small towns, because I love the fact that I literally connect to the character’s whole world. I felt like in Absolutely Truly, Pumpkin Falls felt like the perfect cozy, everybody-knows-everybody, well-known town… And yet it still had a bit of mystery to it.
#2: Truly, the Main Character (MC), is also a perfect mixture: of confidence and insecurity. Truly is truly feisty, daring anyone to tease her about her name, and is quick to tell the silly boys in her class off. But she’s also conscious of her height and big feet (earning her the nickname “Truly Gigantic.”) I LOVED that Heather turned the thing that Truly disliked most about herself (and caused her many issues throughout the book), into something that, in the end, saved her.
#3: Truly’s family played a major role in the book. Truly’s father was in the army, so the family moved a lot. Her father lost his arm in Afghanistan, so the family decided to permanently move to Pumpkin Falls. The injury tore the family apart (how could it not?), and Truly wanted her old father and her family back. I could really tell how much her family meant to her, though, and I understood how Truly felt about her family at times.
Okay, so those things are all great! … but I was a little confused. (as I often am.)
#1: Spoiler alert! Don’t read if you haven’t read the book! =) the guy who left the clues that Truly and her friends pieced together wasn’t even one of the main characters. He was mentioned hanging out around the front of the store, and Truly was wondering who he was, but other than that I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW HIM. I was expecting one of the more mysterious characters in Pumpkin Falls to be the one leaving the clues, and I felt like in the beginning of the book that that was what it was made out to be. Spoiler over! … I was just disappointed with the outcome of the mystery.
#2: The ending felt too abrupt. The mystery didn’t even begin until several chapters in, and by the time I got to the last chapter I was just like “Oh. Truly found the last clue and the mystery was solved… oh.” I didn’t feel a sense of victory, or ending. It just… ended. And that was that. Like I said in the first reason I was confused, I was disappointed in the outcome.
#3: The book was a mystery, after all, but there were so many side-issues (Truly’s father having lost his arm, Truly missing her old town, Truly having to get her grade up to join the swim team), the mystery didn’t even feel like the main problem. In fact, I couldn’t even tell what was the main problem.
#4: Speaking of Truly joining the swim team… because of her low math grade, Truly’s father made her attend tutoring sessions with him everyday right after school until she raised her grade, in order to try out for the Pumpkin Falls swim team. Truly talked about how swimming was her passion, her favorite hobby, how she missed swimming and couldn’t wait to try out – but she didn’t start swimming until about 3/4 into the book! Whaaa? What was even the point of that?!
Little disclaimer: the book is supposed to be the start of the series, so I’m hoping these confusions will be cleared up in upcoming Pumpkin Falls mysteries. =)
The verdict?
4 out of 5 stars!
Have any of you read Absolutely Truly? What are your thoughts? Would you like to read it? Let me know in the comments!
Hi, everyone! Today, Audrey over at The Measure of a Book is joining us with gift ideas for the bookish person in your life. (Or even yourself!) Be sure to go and check out her blog! =) Here’s Audrey!
Hello everyone! I’m Audrey from The Measure of a Book, and Emily here, has asked me to do a bookish holiday post! So, I will be posting some of THE BEST Christmas gifts for that bookish buddy in your life! (Which means, you are more than welcome to present any of these gifts to me, buddies! Grandma? Mom…?) 🙂
These are some ideas, but get creative! Add a little bit of yourself to these gifts!
We will go from biggest to smallest, but the size of your gift does not determine the thought and love put into it…
Let us begin!
~
1.} A Bookishly Beautiful Gift Basket
Fill a basket, bucket or bag with some bookish items and you have instant happiness!
A candle (you can find a book scented candle by clicking the link above)
To make it more personal:
Put some of your own favorite books in there
In the journal or card, write some of your favorite quotes taken from books
Make a homemade card using a quote from a book as your greeting
For more fun:
You can base your basket off one particular book or series (Example: to create one based off The Giver by Lois Lowry, add your typical, favorite things like a blanket and coffee mug, but add a pretty copy of The Giver, an apple ((only fans will understand that reference!!)), maybe the movie, some rosemary potpourri, and maybe this little Giver themed tree ornament. Or this adorable key chain. For your card, use a quote from the book as your greeting. If you were using The Giver, you could do: “Memories are forever”.)
2.} Bookish Day Out
There’s only one thing better than going through bookstores… Going through bookstores with friends! How about taking your bookish buddy out for the day. You can hang out at the bookstore, and buy them a cup of coffee! Discussing and referring books will be a lot of fun.
3.} Keep Calm…
This gift is small, but perfect in every way… Get a small gift bag, throw in a coffee mug, some coffee or tea, and a gift card, for the perfect, calming gift!
Item ideas:
(For the coffee lover) coffee, and a flavored coffee creamer
(For the tea drinker) a box of assorted teas and a small jar of honey
Instead of buying your coffee creamer, you can give a jar of some homemade creamer (you can find some recipes here)
Make your own mug sleeve with felt or a sweater and buttons
A homemade bookish greeting card
4.} Um… BOOKS!
Grab your favorite books, or series of books, and go! If you liked them, and you know your friend has never stuck their nose into them, those books will make a great gift!
5.} Gift Card Galore
How about a bookstore gift card along with a Starbucks gift card? Sounds pretty great to me!! You might not be able to take your friend out for the day, but these two gift cards will give them a day to their self. And maybe you could add a list of favorites they can check out.
~
Well! I hope this gave you a good idea of what to give, and what to ask for! 😉 Anything you would add?
Thank you Emily for having me, and to everyone reading… Have yourself a very bookish Christmas!
Hi, everybody! Today, Daisy over at Estrella’s Trendy Teen tagged me in The Christmas Tag!
Of course, I couldn’t say no, now could I? Christmas is the best time of the year! It’s my savior’s birthday! (and the presents don’t hurt, either… hehehe.) So, thanks a million, Daisy!
And now… the rules.
Post the picture on your blog. (Check.)
Answer the questions.
Tag up to 12 bloggers.
Make up questions for the bloggers to answer!
Alrighty… these are the questions that Daisy came up with, and I will now answer:
1. What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
Every year, a few weeks before Christmas, my mom and dad host a “greens party.” My grandma started doing hers several years back with my great-aunt, and it wasn’t long before my mom started doing her own. Basically, my parents begin collecting greenery and stacking them in piles in our yard. On the day of, we set tables and clippers and baskets and such out in our driveway and invite all of our friends and friends of friends over to make wreaths and greenery arrangements! We have soup and yummy treats inside and the kids run around and play. It’s a blast! =)
2. What is the best holiday memory?
I remember one memory that always makes me bust out laughing! About two or three Christmases ago, when my cousin Sawyer was two or three, my whole family was sitting in our living room while we all took turns opening presents. When it was Sawyer’s turn, he tore open the wrapping paper and said… “I got a box!” He was tickled pink! Of course, he was even more excited when we opened the box and he got a train set!
3. If you could give one present to someone less fortunate what would you give or do for them?
Oh, tough one. I guess it depends what sort of situation the person is in. Every Christmas, my family helps a family in need or buys Christmas presents for some kids who live nearby. My old elementary school has a “dolphin tree” (the mascot is dolphins =) ), and my family still gets a dolphin to buy presents for the kids in the school, even though my sister and I don’t go there anymore. If I knew of someone who needed help, I’d try to do whatever was in my power to do for them.
4. What is your Favorite Holiday Song?
I love “Mary, Did You Know” and the Glee version of “Up on the Rooftop.”
5. What was the best present you ever received?
Oh, now this is a tough one! =) I’ve always been so blessed every year with everything I want (and more), but I can think of several big presents I’ve gotten over the years… a cell phone, a tablet, a bike, several American Girl dolls, a “cottage play house” … and so many more.
6. Do you decorate your house for the holidays? How about your room?
Oh, absolutely!! Our living room has a really high ceiling, so my family always puts up a ten-foot-tall tree and deck it out in our ornaments. I always love going through the homemade ornaments! My mom hangs mistletoe, we have stockings, and Christmasy-smelling candles, and snowmen figurines, and Santa pictures everywhere… my sister and I put mini Christmas trees in our room and I hang up pictures from past years in my bedroom.
7. Favorite Christmas Movie?
ELF! Is that even a question?
8. Do you stay at home for Christmas day or does your family go out to parties?
WELL. On the 23rd, my family and I go to my grandparents’ house a few hours away for a family get together at some distant cousins’ house, and cousins and distant, distant cousins and great-aunts and all of my extended family on my dad’s side gets together. My sister and I also get our presents from my grandma and grandpop and aunt. Then on the 25th, my cousins and grandparents on my mom’s side and some close family friends and sometimes my cousin’s grandparents come over in the afternoon. Somehow, we always end up having quite a group. This year will be a little different, though, because my cousins are going to Minnesota for Christmas. So my parents were thinking we could go see a movie in the afternoon or invite some friends to hang out!
9. What was your most embarrassing gift?
Hmmm… I don’t usually get embarrassing gifts. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten underwear! 😛 When I was younger, however, I hated getting clothes! 😉 (It’s definitely different now, haha!)
10. Post your favorite Christmas Gif. or picture!
Here is a picture of my cousin (and best friend =) ), taken today, actually:
See our matching sweaters? Jealous? 😉 I also worked some of my magic and curled both of our hair…
(My other cousin caught that one!) Just thought I’d share those two with you 😉
Now, are ya’ll ready for the bloggers I’m going to tag? I nominate Ana @ Butterflies of the Imagination, Cait @ Paper Fury (previously at Notebook Sisters!), and Rachel. =) (Sorry, I couldn’t reach 12! On a side note, any blogs you guys reccommend reading?)
Go check out those lovely ladies’ blogs! You sure won’t regret it!
Here are the questions for the three bloggers I tagged:
What is your favorite Christmas treat?
Are there any special traditions that your family has to celebrate Christmas?
What’s on your Christmas list this year?
Favorite Christmas carol?
How do you normally celebrate Christmas?
Do you enjoy getting presents for your friends and family? Do you buy your gifts or go the homemade route?
What is your favorite Christmas movie?
Do you decorate your house for Christmas?
Is it cold where you live? Have you ever had a white Christmas? =)
What is something nice someone has done for you around Christmas that made you smile?
So those are the questions! I hope that the bloggers I tagged can join in! =)
Merry Christmas!
xoxo,
Oh, and one more thing! I joined Pinterest! Maybe you can check me out! (I’m kind of obsessed…) =)
Hey, guys! How have you been? What have you been up to? What have I been up to? WELL.
You know, just lounging around… trying to get out of catching up on schoolwork… getting grounded in the process… and then once I was un-grounded just being lazy and moody and bawling over white elephant gifts.
Anyway! Are you ready for this week’s Stacking the Shelves? Well, I’ll get into it, but first I gotta tell you… Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews in which I talk about the books I’ve read in the past week and the books I’ve gotten. Pretty exciting stuff, right?!
Yep. That’s the “stack.” Pretty puny, but I don’t mind. I re-read these lovely pals of mine every year at Christmas and bawl my eyes out when it’s way past my bedtime and I really ought to have put the book down hours ago.
The first one way up there is The Christmas Shoes by Donna Vanliere.
Oh my holy night, ya’ll.
Like….
It’s a very, very short read. I finished it in one sitting last year, and one day this year. But even though it’s the shortest read I’ve read since the Magic Tree House books, it really gets a lot through. Plus it’s enough to make me bawl my eyeballs out every single year, even though I know what’s coming. The book was based on this song that I LOVE, and you just have to listen to the song, even if you don’t read the book.
The song even makes me cry.
So the next book, of course, is the sequel. It follows the little boy in the first book when he’s in college to become a doctor. (Obviously, he’s not a little boy in this one.) It’s called The Christmas Blessing, and… well… just read the blurb.
In The Christmas Shoes, young Nathan Andrews was a child who lost his mother to cancer. Now his deepest wish is to become a doctor. When a stranger named Robert gave him the money to buy his mother a pair of shoes for her last Christmas, both Robert and Nathan learned the deepest lessons of love and giving. Now a medical student in his third year, Nathan realizes there are still things to be learned about faith, blessings, and sacrifice. Lessons he will learn from Meghan Sullivan-a young woman born with a hole in her heart that has not kept her from becoming a champion runner. And lessons learned from a young boy named Charlie, who teaches how to live a life of true courage. Together, they will help guide Nathan through the darkest period in his life. The Christmas Blessing is an inspiring about hope existing in the darkest places, and love is always the greatest gift of all.
Yep. Another book that should come with a box of tissues. It’s a love/hate relationship, books and me. They’re so abusive, you know? Forcing me to stay up late and cry and cry and cry… yet I still love them, and KEEP READING THEM!
The last book is a book my grandma bought me a few years ago (or maybe more… I don’t even know!), and it always makes me a smile. (I know… after all the feels I got going on, it’s good to SMILE. You know?) Basically, everyday leading up to Christmas, you read a true story about Christmas acts of kindness, tradition, love, etc, etc. Like a family helping an elderly woman put up her Christmas lights outside her house. Or a little girl using all of her money to buy a gift for a needy child. Pretty grand stuff.
Soooo that’s it for this STS! What are you guys reading? Any holiday book recommendations for me? I must know! Tell me in the comments below! Go, go, go! ha… ha… ha… that rhymed.
My vacation is over. Please, a moment of silence for my grief.
And now let me talk in all caps about how AMAZINGLY AWESOME MY VACATION WAS OMG!!! Seriously, my parents booked another cruise while we were on the ship. (They’ll get a discount and can change pretty much anything – date, stateroom, etc.) The Disney Cruise was amazing. It was my first cruise ever, and OH SWEET DANISH PASTRIES. All the food I ate. I found I am particularly fond of raspberry-filled danish pastries. YUM.
And just look at this food. (Thanks, dad, for the bajillion pictures you must have taken this week!)
This is me at one of the restaurants, The Royal Court.
Here I am with my sister and Goofy!
Breakfast with dad!
Every night, when we came back from dinner, our stateroom host, Maguesh (he’s from India!), left us towel animals to find. One time, I requested a cat, and LOOK. A cat!
The streets of Puerto Rico. Everything was so picturesque!
I found this in one of the shops in San Jaun, Puerto Rico. The lady who was in the shop hand-painted it! I told her I absolutely had to have it, and she told me it always made her happy when someone appreciated her work. I was glad to support an artiste like herself. I know it makes me happy when someone appreciates my writing! =)
Check out this iguana we spotted in San Jaun!
Me and my sister looking out at the water. Look how blue it is!!
My dad woke me up early one morning, around 5AM, to see the sunrise. It was beautiful, and well-worth passing out at 9:30 that night! =)
This gingerbread house behind me and my sister is made of actual gingerbread and frosting and candy! It took a total of 320 hours to make. Every time we passed it, we got a whiff of gingerbread! YUM. (Don’t you love my sister’s dress? Anyone recognize it? =) All day, people kept calling her Princess Anna, and since her name actually is Anna, she kept saying “How does everyone know my name?”)
Here’s our ship (The Fantasy), from Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Absolutely stunning. I’m glad that we will be seeing it again soon!
Thank you reading this, if you did! I know it’s got nothing to do with books, but I decided to make an exception. =) I had such a BLAST, I can’t help gushing about it. And believe me when I say these pictures are a fraction of a fraction of all the ones we took!
Since I’ve been away for quite a while, I probably won’t be posting for several days or so. I’ll be catching up on schoolwork and hopefully getting new posts written for you all! Until next time!
