  1. Are you talking about Hitch the movie with Kevin James and Will Smith? If so, I’ve been wanting to see that for soooooo long! And Jewell Parker Rhodes is an amazing author I can’t wait to read Towers Falling.

    1. Yes I am! You should, the movie was hilarious. 😀
I’ve never read anything by Jewell Parker Rhodes but I’ve only read one other 9/11 historical fiction story. So I really want to get my hands on Towers Falling!

  2. Emily I’ve missed your posts! Glad to see a new one from you (and Heather Vogel Frederick on her blog too!!!). You’re in high school now, right? How’s school going?
Oh trust me I put off studying for my learner’s permit and I have had my permit for over a year now xD I drive a lot, but there’s no license in sight as of right now *gulp* Best of luck to you!
My sister has been talking non-stop about fall since, well, July. Since you’ve visited Florida before I believe you know how crazy the heat gets. And while the heat certainly won’t go away in the fall, here’s hoping LOL! But I’m super excited about it, too.
And HOLD THE PHONE. What edition of the Book Thief?! I have got to get my hands on it OMG, that book is one of my favorites. *goes off to hunt for it*
Anyway, as always, love reading your blog. It’s always one of my favorites!
    ~Grace

    1. That makes me happy to hear Grace, haha! 😉 Thank you. Really?? *quickly goes to Heather’s blog* AHHH yay.
Yes I am! Well, since I’m homeschooled it doesn’t feel all that different. 😉 Same teacher, same classroom, ha. I really like the workload (specifically my curriculum) too! So pretty well!
aye aye aye… my parents have told me that they’re not driving me anywhere until I begin consistently studying, heehee. I’m also 99% certain I’ll drive like a grandma as soon as I get my permit/license!
Haha! Your sister and I have that in common. I’ve been to Florida many times, and I do not envy your fall and winters! (Though I do have beach fever, *sigh*) Georgia has perfect autumns, if I may brag a bit. 😉 If only our 90-degree heat would take a… chill pill.
YES. You must go to B&N right away and check it out. The edition is SO beautiful. *swoon*

  3. Post!! I’ve missed having your posts in my inbox.
I’m currenrly wearing pajamas because I just woke up.
I’m currently reading We We’re Liars. What have you been reading? Have you started Scarlet Letter yet? I’ve been reading so so so much this week. I can’t wait till I don’t have a deadline.
I’m currently watching Arrow and Teen Wolf. Two shows you wouldn’t like. Haha. I can’t wait till the new Gilmore Girls episodes. Have they given a release date yet?
I’m currently wanting to write a review for A Time to Die. I need to finish it by tomorrow which shouldn’t be too hard. I’ll probably send it to you to read and criticize because I’m unconfident about these things. Haha. You should totally write a letter to your pen pal, Brooke. I bet it’s been a long time since she’s gotten mail.
Who doesn’t want that Barnes and noble edition? I do. I’d be alarmed if you didn’t.
I promise I’ll send that introduction to the co post today. I just need to write it and send it. Haha.

    1. I missed writing them! (The break felt nice though. I feel so much more refreshed and inspired to write on FTB now.)
Haha. I’m currently wearing PJs because I’m fixing to go to bed. (and I wear pajamas allll day long if I don’t leave the house)
Yes I have! I’m enjoying it, but it’s taking me a while to get through. (Which is a bad thing because I need it finished by Thursday. UGH, I do not like required reading. The books, yes, the deadline… no.) Haha. I can tell I wouldn’t lol. Though I am itching for some good television…
      November 25! (November 26 for you I think.) I CAN’T WAIT.
Haha. I don’t like writing reviews either… but I’ll try to offer what little advice I can.
      Lol. It’s okay. And… will do. 😉

  4. I’m listening to ‘Good Grief’ by Bastille right now. ;D I’m currently reading Danger In The Shadows by Dee Henderson, and just finished the first 3 books in the YA Chronicles of the Nephilim by Brian Godawa.
We’ve had reruns of Home Improvement, and that show is one of the greatests! 😀 YESS, Win A Date With Tad Hamilton is AMAZING!!! 😀 *high five*
I’m going to be starting a book about Cherokee Indians and an American man who gets accepted into their tribe. 🙂 I’m super happy about that one, and after prayer, I’m ready to start it!
    YHVH bless!

    1. Ohh, I’ve been meaning to listen to Bastille! Hmm… all good recommendations.
I’ve seen a few episodes of Home Improvement. 😀 I do love Tim Allen, haha! Whoo-hoo! Isn’t it the cutest?!! Everyone needs a lovable nerd in their life.
Oh. My. That sounds awesome, Angela! I can’t wait to hear more about it. 🙂

  5. Both “The Book Thief” and “Towers Falling” are on my TBR. 😉
    Sleeping in… YYAASSSSS.
Hahaha, I love that shirt. XD
Oh, your story sounds fabulous, Emily! ^.^

Great post; I enjoyed it!! 😀 Happy fall!

    1. AHHHHH, Faith. You *must* read The Book Thief. And if you get a chance to read Towers Falling before me, tell me how it is.
Isn’t it the greatest?! (Sleeping in *and* the shirt, haha.) Thank you! HAPPY FALLL!

  6. AHH I just had my iced chai tea latte with a pump of pumpkin during my break today. It’s one of my favorite fall drinks. <3

and omg can I read this story when you write it. or are finished writing it or whatever stage you are on. XD I just remember that one story you did with the rabbit slippers (I think that's what it was…?) and it was the most beautiful thing ever. 😛

(and yay for pretty lighting up book sidebars! :P)

    1. NO WAY. *high fives* I heartily agree. (what I’d give to keep the pumpkin flavor year-round. *cries*)
Yes! Yes you may! (I’d be rather honored for the Super Writer Katie Grace to read one of my stories, hehe!) And thank you sooo much; that means a ton.

(They make me so happy you have no idea, omg)

  7. Enjoy my way too long comment(I loved reading everything) and I think it’s so cool that Justice is your pen pal! 💕 I’ve never had a pen pal but the idea sounds fun! 😊 Ok so now onto everything I’m obsessed with/loving/crying over.
Ok I am sooooo excited for fall! I love fall because:
    •beanies
    •scarves
    • sweaters
    • boots
    • did I mention beanies? XD I have a minor(major) beanie obsession
I’m also reading Priceless and Im on the third chapter and I’ve already cried. And I’m currently writing..a book about a mute girl with an imaginary friend..who dyes her hair based off her mood…but then everything changes once everyone can see her imaginary friend 😉 (PS your story sounds amazing and I’d love to read it some time!) and my other book is about a girl who wants to fit in and starts to hang out with the ‘popular group’ and she compromises her faith and herself and sort of become a bully as well(because hey I never read a book from a bully’s POV so I decided to write it) and this fall I really want to try Starbucks because I feel like a terrible person because I have NEVER had Starbucks. Who would believe that a girl from ny has never had Starbucks? Pretty crazy! I also never read the book thief but I love the movie ! *cries* anyways sorry if this is wayyyy too long. -Liv

    1. I LOVE LONG COMMENTS, thanks! I was actually going to ask if you wanted to be pen pals, too!! 🙂 (also I’m sorry that I never answered your questions about skyping. I definitely want to skype you sometime this week. I’ll DM you.)
YESSS the fall fashions. My clothes look so much better in the fall and winter than summer, ha. All the layers and mustard and maroon and hunter green colors… looooveee.
I desperately want to read Priceless. For sure on my TBR. and OMG, you storiessss. SO. GOOD. I’ll email you so we can exchange stories! (That is, if you don’t mind sharing yours of course.) 😉 I wrote a book very similar to that with Rachel a year or two ago. A girl began getting cyber bullied and fell away from her faith and began bullying others… looking back I’m not proud of how I wrote it but I do like the storyline.
GO TO STARBUCKS. Liv, I cannot believe this. (You should totally try my order, btw. Hehe.) And THE BOOK THIEF. You must, must, must read the book. so beautiful. The movie is fabulous as well, but the writing… ahhh. And again, no worries. Long comments are the best. <3

  8. I’m loving listening to The Piano Guys, Birdy, and Hamilton. I’m writing a short story for English, poems for creative writing, and essays for Indian lit, plus a bunch of short pieces and blog posts for fun. I’m really looking forward to next week, when I’m going to go on a hiking school trip, and then I get a week off school and my godparents are visiting. You sound really busy! Fall really is the best season. Also, forgive me, but I’m Indian, and I feel obliged to mention that chai means tea, so chai tea is like saying chai tea (though I get that this is what starbucks calls it; they’re wrong)
Also, hi! I’ve lurked here a few times, but I don’t know if I’ve really commented? I’m Shanti bloggerwriterreaderfrantichighschoolsenior. For the Bookish is such a great blog!
