currently

Hi guys! I love doing “Currently” lists, because who doesn’t like talking about themselves? (And who doesn’t like reading about me?) 😉 Hopefully you don’t mind too much, ’cause Imma post ’em anyway. Ready to see what I’ve been currently up to?

Currently Listening to: Build Me Up Buttercup – The Foundations.

I’ve heard this song before, but recently on Pandora I heard it on the Michael Buble radio (which is THE best radio on Pandora, by the way – alongside the “Easy Listening” one) and it’s been on repeat ever since! It’s so peppy and I love it bunches.

Currently Watching: CHRISTMAS MOVIES. Right now, I’m planning on giving The Christmas Card & Christmas With Holly another watch. Cheesy romantic movies are great, but then add CHRISTMAS to that description and that’s it. I’m a sucker. Also, whilst writing this, Leap Year is playing on TV, which is my new fave. My cousin Sydney and I watched it at a sleepover together and if you ask us about it, we won’t be able to stop smiling thinking about it. It’s just so ADORABLE.

Oh, and I nearly forgot – GILMORE GIRLS! It’s on Netflix if you want to check it out; I’m on episode four (as of November 5th whilst writing this) and love it. Rory Gilmore is essentially me.

Currently Eating: Leftover “Not-Halloween” candy! My family doesn’t do Halloween, but who’s to say we can’t pig out on candy like everyone else? The November 1st sales are da best! Unfortunately I ate all the Reese’s but the Kit Kats are left and I’ll take ANY chocolate I can get my hands on.

Currently Wanting: A Kindle Fire Paperwhite. Man, do those look awesome! I sold my Kindle Fire HD because a) I broke my mom’s computer and I am not exactly rolling in the dough, soooo. Payin’ off my debt, peoples! and b) it’s going on four years old and I was planning on selling it anyway in order to save for a Paperwhite. Buuuut, since Christmas is a mere forty-three days away (eep!) … I’m thinking I’m going to wait to see what I get under the tree…

Currently Loving: My new dog, Beasley! He’s just SO LOVABLE. Just before I wrote this, he pulled the old pillow pet we leave in his crate to the front of the door so that it blocks the entrance, right after our cat Maisy poked her head inside. Is that not positively adorable or what?!

Currently Making: A Thanksgiving book! My mom bought my sister and me these small, blank hardback books to fill with things we’re thankful for during the month of November. Each day we write something we’re thankful for and decorate the page! I’m loving the way my book looks, and it’s so much fun to write in it everyday. Two weeks till Thanksgiving, bloglings!

This is just TOO accurate! XD

Currently Writing: My NaNoWriMo novel! That’s right, ladies and (can’t think of any gentlemen who read this except maybe my dad) XD – it’s National Novel Writing Month! My tentative goal is 1,000 words per day… which would then put me around 44,000 words (I’ve got 14000 down from starting it a month or two ago.) So that’s exciting. Expect more updates in the remaining weeks of November!

Currently Counting Down For: CHRISTMAS!! (Poor Thanksgiving just gets skipped right over, but I am looking forward to that too. Did someone say pie?!) The Christmas carols were being blasted in October and now it’s just six weeks away! (Gosh that’s unbelievable.) I also can’t believe 2016 is right around the corner – FTB will be turning two in no time! Okay, okay, maybe I am getting ahead of myself. But I am prepping for Christmas… for my friends and family off and online! Keep an eye out for Christmas giveaways soon. I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve…

Fun fact: According to a random online quiz, my “Peanuts” character is Linus.

In the meantime, I’ll talk to you in the comments and I’m off to turn on a Christmas movie!

  1. Oh I love currently list! I like to write these types of posts, but they don’t get much traffic so I perty much just write my own in the comments whenever someone does! 😛
That song IS really peppy and fun!! Lately I’ve been loving Soap by Melanie Martinez and Gasoline by Halsey (though, warning there are two swear words in Gasoline.) I LOVE Gasoline because it describes Cinder pretty well, (without spoilers! 😉 ) ALSO Midnight by Beth Crowley is inspired by Cinder too I think you might like that one since it describes cinder rather than the series….i think you might be able to tell I’m sort of on a Lunar Chronicles rush right now!! 😛
I’m currently waiting for my book order to come in from B&N where I ordered Rook by Sharon Cameron that looks really good and also Winter by Marissa Meyer 😉
Lately I’ve been loving the weather believe it or not! 😛 It’s been PERFECT rainy weather (meaning buckets of rain!) and hopefully some thunder/lightning this weekend!
I’m not participating in NaNo this year but I am working on an idea I’ve had swimming around in my head for a while!
Are you going to do a post about your NaNo experience?

    1. Thanks Daisy! Ugh, that stinks. Well next time you post a currently post I’ll be sure to comment. 🙂
I’ll definitely have to go listen to those songs. I love discovering new music! Haha I don’t blame you. I just finished Cinder and I neeeed Scarlet NOW. Gosh. Brooke is hyperventilating over Winter. I can’t get to read it. 😀
Oms, me too. Well that’s partly a lie. At FIRST I loved the weather. But then, after a month went by with nothing but rain, I got kind of sick of it!! 🙂 It was putting me in such a lazy funk and I’m so glad it’s looking sunshiney again!
Ooh can’t wait to hear about it. I love coming up with new ideas… which isn’t really a problem for me ’cause I have ideas coming out of my ears. XD
Mmmmm probably. Except my “NaNo experience” isn’t much of an experience right now because I’m failing. Miserably. *sigh* Fourth year and it’s still not for me… 🙁

  2. Hey! I love your currently posts! So much fun! And then I get to see some stuff that I didn’t know and currently posts just apeal to me.
I would write a longer comment however Winter is calling me.

    1. Thanks girl! I like them too, lol.
Haha no problemo. When you start writing long comments again I’ll know you’re done with Winter. 😀 Remember when we’d comment back and forth foreeeever and it took up all the space?? Good ole days. 😉

      1. Yeah. And you’re so good at making your currently posts interesting and informative.
Haha. Yeah. 200 pages left! I’ll probably be texting you like crazy. Yes!! I remember! It even got to the point sometimes when I couldn’t reply anymore and had to write a new comment. 😉

  3. AH love this list! I’ve watched the Gilmore Girls a few times, except the last episode I watched (which was awhile) was filled with constant jokes about the thing…the s word >.> references to it about two people. And that’s fine, but it was a constant topic and I didn’t really enjoy that. But that was one episode, I need to try some more!
Also, I am so sorry for never resending my GMW rant. But since a new episode came out Friday: what did you think of it? I thought it could’ve been better (as usual), but I actually won’t write it off as 100% terrible. They had a start at least.
And of course, LACK OF CONTINUITY WHERE DID OUR LOVE TRIANGLE GO
That Thanksgiving Book idea sounds very smart. Decorating pages sounds so fun too! What have you been decorating them with? I should try it: would help us all be in a better thankful spirit!
Ooh NaNo: I’m nearly 15K in, and I’m supposed to be at 18K today. Ugh school (which I need to sit down and just do right now lol).
And Hallmark Christmas movies oh my gosh. The Debbie Macomber ones xD I love November Christmas the best, and behind that Christmas with Holly (which I can’t believe I read over in your post!! Isn’t it the best??). They’re all over done and cheesy, but what can we do? They still rock xD And I think I watched the Christmas Card too! Gahhh there’s SO many. Also, speaking of Hallmark..I wish we had the Hallmark Murder Mystery channel :/ that’s where all the classic Hallmark movies are as well 😛
    Have a good Thanksgiving!

    1. Thanks Grace! Yeah… that does seem to be a central theme. 🙁 Thus my mom has to watch with me and we fast-forward scenes that get a little too mushy. It really stinks they have to put that in there.
Lol, I actually haven’t seen the newest episode of GMW but I do love your rants on them. Ew but that’s okay because I don’t even like the love triangle. 1st of all, RILEY & LUCAS ARE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER and Maya needs to butt out, and 2nd of all the whole thing is waaaay too cheesy. No. Way. I would hate to be an actor in those shows… sigh.
Well I taped some festive scrapbook paper to the front of the book and then shaded in every page and decorated with Thanksgiving stickers. And then I write what I’m thankful for each day! 🙂 It’s pretty cute, if I say so myself.
YES right! I love them, who cares about the cheesiness. Although that kind of makes me a hypocrite because GMW is cheesy too, but it is a DIFFERENT kind of cheesy okay?!! UGH.
Hallmark Murder Mystery?? I’ve never even heard of that one! I wonder if I get it… Hmm. Better go look.
      Thanks, you too, Grace!
